The Role
You are passionate about performance, accessibility, and building for the long-term. You are a product builder, who loves solving challenging problems and delivering performant code that’s constantly tested. We are looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas and want to see them come to life. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Mylo's needs and have opportunities to develop your skills.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You will write, review and maintain code primarily in Javascript, or the language most practical for the entire team and the work at hand.
- You will utilize best practices and understand emerging trends
- You will evaluate and recommend architectures & solutions, and guide team decision making
- You will work with in a cross functional squad that collaborates with other disciplines like Design and Product.
- Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, the release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, ensuring code integrity and working closely with the operations team
- You will mentor, pair, share learnings and help others around you to grow
Skills:
- Relevant experience in javascript using Node.JS
- Track record of developing products that scale
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points:
- Experience with TypeScript.
- An active github repo demonstrating some of the things you are passionate about
- Experience with GraphQL and the AWS tools and products (We are heavily using AWS Lambdas, Docker, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Redshift ... ! )
