Job Description
The Business Planning and Development Manager will be tasked to oversee the planning and execution of high priority projects and solve cross-functional problems. The Manager shall be required to have in-depth exposure to the Company’s functions and to work closely with various Unit Heads and stakeholders in order to achieve its target outputs that shall have a direct impact on the overall or inter-departmental operations of the business.
Business Planning
The role will also play a key role in supporting the leadership team of Ninja Van Philippines in enabling the rhythm of business to individual performance, specifically to Ninja Van Philippines. The role will be responsible for orienting the growth of the organization towards a shared direction, whilst honing effectiveness in communications, operational excellence, knowledge management and process improvement.
The position will sit within the Business Operations unit and will possess a strong grasp of the country’s strategy and goals, be familiar with the responsibilities of our business functions, partner closely with the Regional and Country stakeholders to align their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and advocate the use of data to drive objective performance conversations at every level of Ninja Van PH.
The team delivers against two functional pillars, namely 1. Core Operations (Data management for our KPIs/business metrics, program implementation and governance) and 2. Knowledge Management & Optimisation (Strengthen our internal policies and build advocacy through education and engagement).
Key activities include partnering with the Regional, Country management team, and Planning teams to manage the annual corporate strategic planning process across Ninja Van PH, leading the development of KPIs, engaging country management stakeholders through education and engagement, and general management of progress and timelines of key initiatives across the Ninja Van PH.
Business Development
The Manager will also be responsible in developing mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships that are aligned to the country’s strategy and goals. He researches market opportunities, analyzes market strategies, and helps in building the market position of Ninja Van in the industry. He shall be able to drive multiple cross-industry and collaborative initiatives to offer value-generating engagements.
Main Duties
Support the Country Head and COO in the development and implementation of comprehensive business plans and initiatives of the different departments aligned with the country’s objectives
Be the main project manager of the total country planning scorecard (data management, KPI/metrics, program implementation and governance)
Provide comprehensive view of dashboards of performance based on the priorities of the country
Propose and lead cross-functional initiatives that would support the country’s priority
Work closely with Country Head, COO, and Unit Heads to to achieve project objectives
Identify dependencies and key support areas across the organization, and translate them into key metrics across the teams, Senior Management, and Country Management teams
Develop and conduct training/briefing sessions with the relevant teams
Evaluate and improve internal knowledge databases, platforms and tools to ensure program policies and guidelines remain relevant
Plan and execute key governance activities including in-year data reviews, KPI and data audits to uphold program relevance and integrity
Establish strategic partnerships that would support the priorities of the country

Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of business management, social sciences, economics, statistics, or other high quantitative/analytic courses
3-5 years of strong relevant experience in operations, business, and quantitatives
Specialization in relevant field (operations research, programming, data analytics, business planning, strategy, marketing, etc.) is a plus
Proven project management experience
Can work and communicate effectively with various profiles from different stakeholder groups
High analytical ability - critical and logical thinking and optimization
