Job Description
The Middle-mile team manages all internal inter-hub movements of parcels and shipments. The team works closely with all core operations units (FM, Sort, LM, Recovery) as it manages all incoming and outgoing volumes for these hubs.

The Dispatch Operations Senior Manager will report to the Head of Middle-mile. He/she must manage the movement and planning of all shipments within NVPH’s middle-mile network. This requires working closely with all core operations departments and ensuring that parcels and shipments are able to move throughout Ninja Van’s expansive network in a quick and efficient manner. 
 
The Dispatch Operations Senior Manager shall handle a team of Regional Linehaul Managers and Dispatch Operations Managers. They are also assessed based on their managerial skills, given that this is a managerial role. 

The Dispatch Operations Senior Manager will be based in Makati Head Office with frequent trips to warehouses or consolidation hubs across the country.
 
Main Duties
> Collaborate with other core operations teams across the company to identify and meet all inter-hub movement requirements.
> Manage a big team of 7 managers, 30+ supervisors, and 400+ ground ops workers
> Proper execution of network plan to ensure timely delivery of all parcels and shipments in the network
> Maintain a standard of operational excellence within the organization 
> Collaborate with Senior Management to understand operational requirements and create strategic operational plans
> Monitor and optimize middle-mile costs to hit budget targets
 
Qualifications
> Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or equivalent work experience
> 5+ years experience in the logistics sector - preferably with a strong people-management or warehouse operations background 
> Knowledge of 5S and best-practices for warehouse / facility management
> Strong leadership skills
> Strong communication skills necessary to building working relationships and positively influence decision making

Main Duties
A. SLA Adherence
> Maintain delivery standards in terms of SLA Adherence. SLA requirements per location vary, depending on the distance from the consolidation facility.
> This is valid for both Forward and RTS (Backward) leg.

B. Cost
> Maintain certain cost standards to avoid overspending
> Implement cost controls and cost audits
> Provide quality commentary on past month spending (financial report)

C. Loss Rates
> Ensure their portion of operations is not liable for an alarming amount of loss
> Target is < 0.01% of parcels handled 
> Implement loss-reduction initiatives

D. Process Adherence
> Ensure their teams are able to adhere to NVPH SOP’s
> Conduct regular audits and surprise visits to check on the current state of our facilities and people

E. Process Design 
> Come up with new processes or improve existing processes to address key problems within ops

F. General Management
> Manage his/her team effectively 
> Train his/her direct reports to be effective and independent
