Cargo Space Procurement, Capacity Planning, and Management(15%)
● Partner with Head of Air Freight to expand the agent network, ensuring Ninja Van has sufficient capacity at optimal cost to support growth
● Negotiate with suppliers for cargo space purchase at competitive rates with good service levels
● Manage vendor on boarding, contract signing, invoicing, and performance evaluation
● Replace under performing suppliers within the network for specific trade lanes
● Negotiate favorable Block Space Agreements with carriers and Cargo Sales Agents for assigned lanes

● Ensure all contracts are signed and payment terms are finalized before going live
● Screen suppliers using tools provided by the CN Legal team, ensuring suppliers are not blacklisted and can comply with Ninja Van legal requirementsEnsure contracts are approved by legal before go live
Procurement Strategy & Process(10%)
● Work closely with the Head of Air Freight to create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
● Identify procurement needs and market trends
● Advise commercial team on market trends regarding capacity
● Create RFQs and RFPs to achieve optimal cost and sufficient cargo capacity within our key trade lanes to support business growth
Volume Monitoring & Forecasting(10%)Responsible for cargo capacity forecasting to ensure sufficient capacity within key trade lanesVendor Management(15%)
● Lead discussions with suppliers regarding cost and performance-related issues
● Responsible for on boarding and implementation of all vendors before handover to Operations team
● Partner with Operations team to ensure optimal level of vendor performance
Air Freight Network Strategy(15%)
● Negotiate monthly/quarterly RFPs with carrier/cargo sales agent partnerships for trade lanes to plan for sufficient capacity at optimal cost
● Continuously review network cargo capacity and infrastructure (gateways, hubs, and feeder services) to provide excellent lead times
● Support the Head of Airfreight in selling unutilized freight capacity within our network
● Responsible for evaluating Carrier/CSA/3PL suitability and contract negotiation for rates, capacity, and service levels
Sales Support(10%)
● Partner with Head of Air Freight to ensure all requests are file,track and completed within timeline
● Support Commercial team with tenders and adhoc quotations for standard and customized requests
Project Management(10%)
● Responsible for driving change accordingly within the network supplier to cope with market trends to achieve optimal costing
● Responsible for communicating change requirements to internal stakeholders [Operations, Commercial and Customer Service]in a timely manner
● Any other projects determined by management
Reporting(10%)
● Responsible for the gross profitability of the trade lanes procure
● Monthly Cross Border Air Freight Spend Analysis
● Supplier Performance Analysis
