Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Control Analyst to join our team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn and contribute to the development and enhancement of internal control processes within our organization. The Internal Controls Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization’s operations, processes, and systems are aligned with best practices in risk management and internal controls working closely with the Operational and IT Risk teams. This position requires a proactive professional with a knack for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the internal control strategies and methodology to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct comprehensive process mapping to understand and document business processes and identify control gaps.
- Design, execute, and coordinate control tests to ensure effectiveness and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead and manage risk management initiatives and projects across various departments, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations for improving process efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies on risk assessments and control evaluations.
- Serve as a key advisor to risk leadership and internal stakeholders on Internal Controls matters, ensuring transparent communication and effective stakeholder management.
- Support on the oversight of issue management activities performed by the BCO Team, including issue management status reports, and issue escalation governance implementation.
- Support on the enhancement and implementation of risk training programs focused on Risk Management and Internal Controls.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to risk management and internal controls.
- Stay ahead of evolving regulatory guidelines, technological advancements, and industry best practices in Internal Controls, applying insights to strengthen our risk posture.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years for mid-level; 3+ years for senior level) in risk management, internal controls, or audit.
- Strong knowledge of process mapping, risk assessment, and control testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using risk management and process mapping tools (Ex: Jira, MIRO, GRC).
Plus:
- Familiarity with SQL and programming.
- Understanding of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
- Knowledge of Mexican legislation
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSOX, CRMA, CPA, CIA)

*Interviewing and onboarding are currently done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team and our current staff will remain working from home until it is safe to return to our offices. When it’s time, we will require a fixed cadence of visiting the office in which employees go to their Business Unit's (BU) base location.
