About the Opportunity

Join us as a Junior IT Risk Assessment Officer, where you’ll be an essential part of our Information Risk Management (IRM) team, guiding N26 through the evolving world of IT Compliance. We’re setting the standard for innovation and excellence in FinTech compliance, embedding compliance into N26’s culture to ensure that every control, policy, and risk assessment strengthens our position as a leader in the industry. In this Role, You Will:

  • Contribute to defining and executing our Risk Management & Reporting strategy, with a focus on Information Security.

  • Conduct ICT Risk Assessments on third-party tools and services, supporting N26’s secure and compliant global operations.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Security Engineers, and third-party vendors to integrate risk assessments into daily workflows.

  • Provide technical oversight on ICT risks, continuously improving the quality and relevance of our controls.

  • Perform quality reviews to ensure adherence to standards and enhance our control environment.

  • Support audits, coordinating actions and evidence gathering to ensure readiness and transparency.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • A solid understanding of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT).

  • An action-oriented mindset, with a drive to bring compliance into daily operations.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both peers and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in dynamic, technology-driven environments or a fast-paced business like a startup is a plus.

  • Familiarity with SOC reports, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or related standards is beneficial, especially in a financial services context.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

  • An analytical approach to documentation, process evaluation, and security assessments.

  • Strong English language skills; German is a plus.

  • A hands-on mentality, eager to suggest and implement process improvements.
