At N26, our Infrastructure Security team is on a mission to detect and remediate IT and cloud infrastructure security threats. We're dedicated to providing efficient and effective services that empower our N26 tech teams to thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Shape the Future: Drive the roadmap for our IT Infrastructure Security function, working closely with the Product Manager, Tech Lead and Engineering Manager.
  • Innovate: Lead initiatives, create solutions, establish processes, and develop frameworks to proactively identify and mitigate security threats within our Corporate IT landscape, ultimately boosting our security maturity.
  • Stay Ahead: Stay on the cutting edge of cybersecurity by conducting regular research to detect new attack vectors.
  • Collaborate: Conduct Threat Modeling Sessions, assess and classify security threats, and collaborate with stakeholders to define threat mitigation solutions.
  • Deliver Excellence: Offer top-tier support to our main stakeholders.
  • Lead the Charge: Be part of our security incident response on-call rotation (voluntary) and take the lead in managing security incidents.

What you need to be successful:

Knowledge & Engineering practices

  • In-Depth Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in Endpoint Security, Email Security, DLP, MDM, Network Security, Identity and Access Management, and safeguarding corporate critical applications.
  • Security Savvy: In-depth knowledge of common security frameworks and tactics, including STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK®, and OWASP.
  • Tool Mastery: Experience in configuring corporate applications and security tools to address threats and reduce risk.
  • Scripting Wizardry: Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell for scripting and automation.

  • Ethical Hacker: Experience with ethical hacking and penetration test methodologies.

  • Agile Mindset: Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management.

  • Communicator: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Growth-Driven: A growth mindset focused on learning and pushing the team forward.
  • Community Contributor: Contributions to the security community, such as open-source tools, research papers, conference talks, etc.
  • Educational Background: A Master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with an advanced security certification.
