The Corporate Strategy team sits at the center of Pinterest within the Strategy & Growth organization, helping to shape and communicate the company's multi-year growth strategy. We serve as the connective tissue between key product, engineering, sales, marketing and other cross-functional teams to accelerate Pinterest innovation and business growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a company undergoing rapid transformation in a high-impact role, working on the most critical company-wide efforts. The Corporate Strategy Lead, Market Intelligence will be the go-to expert on industry trends, responsible for developing comprehensive market and competitive insights to inform strategic decisions.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Deeply understand Pinterest’s business model, growth strategy, differentiated product offerings, customers and partners 
  • Track, analyze and report on shifts in performance and strategies amongst Pinterest’s key competitors, partners and customers (eg. earnings reports, M&A/partnerships, product announcements, and more)
  • Articulate Pinterest’s current market positioning, threats and strategic opportunities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Present actionable insights to the executive team, and partner with cross functional partners like Sales, Product and engineering leaders to incorporate relevant competitive insights into Product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to use as company-wide performance benchmarks

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced in researching, identifying and presenting key industry trends using external data sources 
  • Familiarity with Technology, Ads industry (familiarity with Retail landscape a plus!)
  • Highly analytical and data driven, with proven ability to storytell through data visualization and narrative 
  • Experience in building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable navigating global organization structures and working across cross-functional teams
  • Highly strategic thinker with an adaptive mindset and ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable with and has experience partnering and influencing across matrixed organizations
  • Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration approximately 1x per quarter. For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover T&E. Learn more about PinFlex here.

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 time/quarter and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
