Pure Storage is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Sales Specialist with experience selling cloud-based solutions into large Enterprise customers.  Reporting to the Global Cloud Specialist leader, the Cloud Sales Specialist will be part of the Enterprise Line of Business (ELoB).  This Cloud Sales Specialist will coordinate with the Pure Storage Enterprise sales teams, partners and the Microsoft and AWS field sales teams to lead Pure’s customer expansions into the Azure and AWS Clouds. They will be responsible for team-selling efforts, inclusive of our strategic partners to close business on a quarterly and annual basis. The ideal candidate will currently be selling and living in the NY Area.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE YOU WILL:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan: You will create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive Pure’s Azure and AWS-based solutions in the Enterprise business. This includes identifying key accounts, establishing relationships with decision-makers, and positioning Pure’s cloud offerings as the superior choice.
  • Drive revenue growth: As a Cloud Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and driving Cloud revenue growth within the Enterprise business. You will actively prospect and qualify leads, conduct product demonstrations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships: Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders within Enterprise organizations is crucial. You will engage with customers to understand their unique business needs and challenges, provide consultative guidance, and position Pure’s cloud-based solutions as the ideal fit to address their requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams: You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Pure Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Cloud Technical Specialists, channel partner representatives, and Azure and AWS field teams, to ensure effective solution positioning and seamless customer engagement. You will also provide feedback and insights from the field to drive continuous improvement of our Cloud-based solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends: As the Cloud Sales Specialist, you will stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the Cloud market, particularly related to Azure and AWS cloud technologies. You will leverage this knowledge to identify new opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Deep understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud technologies, Cloud economics, FinOps and Cloud-native solutions
  • Proven track record of success in selling Azure and AWS-based cloud solutions with a focus on Enterprise level engagements
  • Thought leadership, creativity and a Challenger Mindset; the ability to apply your customer insights and expertise in technology solutions to position Pure’s portfolio for seamless expansion into Azure and AWS Clouds.
  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting and solution selling skills, consistently discovering customer opportunities for cloud deployment and positioning the advantages of a Pure Storage solution in Azure and AWS.
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build relationships easily and deepen them over time
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, while fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with Partners
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business.
  • Passionate about post-sales customer success

The annual base salary range is: $179,200 - $269,500 Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
