Our R&D Second Home (alongside our Silicon Valley location) opened in Prague in January 2020, and we’ve experienced incredible growth since. Our Engineers tackle complex engineering challenges (from low-level system software to cloud computing) to innovate our cutting-edge products. Alongside our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have talented colleagues in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR, among other areas. We’ve built these teams with talent from across the globe.

About the Role

This role is one of the first product management hires in Prague in FlashBlade, offering the opportunity to shape the strategy and future direction of the product. You will collaborate with engineering to deliver innovative and successful solutions to the market. The unstructured data space is rapidly evolving, and FlashBlade is at the forefront of developing high-performance object storage solutions that meet current and future needs.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

  • Collaborate on defining overall product and feature requirements, contributing to the future product strategy with sustainable and compelling differentiation based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and market and technology trends.
  • Support and enable the product and solutions teams in designing scale-out storage and compute architectures.
  • Contribute to the overall roadmap, feature considerations, prioritization, and requirements for enterprise-class storage array systems.
  • Participate in roadmap development based on market, technology, business, and competitive analysis.
  • Engage with key account field sales teams and channel partners, collaborating with the team to support the sales process and enhance the overall customer engagement model.
  • Nurture a supportive ecosystem of customers and partners.
  • Contribute to competitive material development and Sales Engineering/Sales support materials, as well as customer presentations.
  • Gather customer feedback to understand key issues, needs, and trends within the customer base.
  • Work closely with the executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide project team support.
  • Present regularly to senior leadership and help shape the future direction of the product via the roadmap.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Demonstrated and extensive experience in product management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in critical problem-solving.
  • Established history of taking ownership and achieving results
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering to deliver projects.
  • Understanding of product life cycles and release milestones, from concept inception to product end-of-life.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to provide clear and timely product requirements and collaborate with engineering to develop differentiated solutions that enable product growth.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with the field organization on customer briefings and provide clarity on product capabilities and roadmap.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred; a Master’s Degree or a Business degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage environments, deployments, and use cases is beneficial. Knowledge of either NFS/SMB or S3 Protocols is beneficial.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
