Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, account reconciliations, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions including but not limited to accrual, cash, prepaids, other assets and liabilities accounts. Ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP. Maintain and update supporting documentation for all journal entries.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by ensuring all relevant financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems.
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A and other Business Partners to investigate and resolve issues impacting the financials.
- Conduct financial analysis to support the Accounting Manager and other departments, including fluctuation analysis and trend reporting.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting functions including purchase requisition review and approval, bills and financial records review.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules supporting financial reports and pre presentations for management.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required to support the finance department’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience in multinational public companies
- Required Skills:
- Experienced with ERP system, preferably Netsuite or SAP
- Able to perform independent research in Netsuite/SAP, Tableau, and other systems
- Have a working knowledge on accrual, US GAAP concept, Sarbanes-Oxley Act be able to conduct independent research on guidance as needed
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
