We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Workday Analyst with expertise in Core HCM, Payroll, SWP and Extend to join our HR Technology team. In this role, you will drive efficiency, automation, and innovation within Workday to improve employee experience and business operations. While Workday is our primary HRIS platform, the team also designs and develops complementary solutions within ServiceNow, ensuring seamless integration and a comprehensive HR technology ecosystem. You understand Workday’s capabilities and limitations and are confident in recommending alternatives when needed—whether through other vendor solutions or full-stack development options. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, a deep understanding of Workday and a passion for delivering innovative HR solutions.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

  • Design, configure, and implement solutions within Workday and the broader technical ecosystem.
  • Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process configuration, integrations, data transmission (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support primarily in Payroll, Time and Absence, Core HCM modules.
  • Monitor and maintain production Workday and related systems’ inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Provide Workday product expertise in the areas of Core HCM, Time Tracking and Payroll.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and partner with COE(s) to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality
  • Leverage Workday Studio, Workday Extend, and other tools for custom integrations and advanced development.
  • Partner with HR teams to analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Optimize business processes by enhancing workflows, automating manual tasks, and providing actionable insights through data reporting and analytics.
  • Creates and maintains clear, comprehensive, documented business requirements for requested changes, enhancements, or projects; accountable for articulating functional processes from beginning to end and providing thought leadership on functionality and design
  • Maintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future Workday functionality
  • Ensure day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects related to payroll and time and absence
  • Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday features and functionality and participates in release planning, accountable for regression testing, unit testing, User Acceptance testing and pre-launch testing / sign-off for new features or enhancements
  • Ensure system compliance with security and data privacy requirements.
  • Participate in Workday releases, assessing new features, and recommending adoption strategies for Talent Management modules.
  • Experience in XSLT Transformation and XML
  • Knowledge of US & Europe Payroll Systems: Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, IAdmin is required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant experience in Workday Payroll, Core HCM, Time & Absence, Studio
  • Proven Workday functional expertise in Payroll and Time & Absence modules; an awareness of what Workday can and cannot do, familiarity with delivered functionality and reports, and experience performing straightforward administrative tasks in Workday (Undoing tasks, manually advancing tasks, waiving requirements).
  • Experience with Workday Studio, Workday Extend, and integration development.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in Agile development environments; ServiceNow, Jira
  • Strong sense of personal accountability for high quality, value-driven work that supports business outcomes; uses design thinking principals.
  • Places the user in the center of decision making, and prioritizes speed, agility, and innovation in work.
  • Embrace continuous learning, curiosity, and ambiguity.
  • Actively mentor and guide peers, sharing insights and best practices to strengthen team capability.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

The annual base salary range is: $163,000-$246,000. 

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
