Overview: Pure Storage is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our talented team. You will play a critical role in transitioning the Professional Services organization from KeyedIn to ServiceNow, building and maintaining large ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will continuously improve our development practices, provide holistic solutions for business problems, streamline redundancies, and automate all that can be automated.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will also work on existing Professional Services systems and integrations while supporting the future ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and robust solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Solution Design:
Provide solid design expertise and be responsible for the architecture, design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow projects and enhancements.Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to finalize designs for ServiceNow initiatives, focusing on Professional Services.Demonstrate expertise in ServiceNow applications (ITSM, CSM, ITOM, and IRM), especially in automating Professional Services workflows and system interactions.Ensure alignment with the broader Professional Services goals, including enhancing operational efficiency and project management through the ServiceNow platform.
Solution Development:
Develop complete and functional workflows, business rules, reports, and other ServiceNow automated solutions against provided requirements, including Professional Services requirements for data entry minimization, project tracking, and financial reporting.Use Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, and UI Scripts to improve system functionality and ease of use.Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs to connect ServiceNow with existing systems such as Salesforce and KeyedIn, supporting the ongoing KeyedIn to ServiceNow transition.Identify trends, prioritize root cause analysis queues, and collaborate with delivery teams to schedule development efforts for periodic releases.
Testing and Deployment:
Perform unit testing of developed solutions, including enhancements to Professional Services tools and workflows.Assist in deploying updates and new configurations following Pure Storage's change management processes.
Documentation:
Document all development and maintenance work, ensuring knowledge transfer and system maintainability within the Professional Services organization.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of user guides and training materials for both end-users and support staff.
Support:
Provide basic support for the ServiceNow platform, resolving incident tickets and fulfilling service requests related to Professional Services tools.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end-users.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with team members, architects, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand Professional Services requirements and achieve project goals.Attend and participate in team meetings and collaborative planning activities, including Professional Services operational reviews.
Continuous Improvement:
Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders in the Professional Services organization to develop, enhance, and enforce continuous service improvement standards and plans.Contribute to process and system improvements, particularly in the context of automating repeatable Professional Services processes.
Compliance:
Perform regular code reviews, ensuring proper coding, and conformance to standards and best practices (including performance, security, reliability, scalability, extensibility, and quality standards).Adhere to Pure Storage's IT policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements:
BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent. (A graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus).4+ years of proven track record as a ServiceNow Developer, with a strong understanding of development best practices and trends.Hands-on implementation experience with ServiceNow ITSM, CSM, and/or ITOM. Experience with solutions designed for Professional Services is a plus.Hands-on experience with ServiceNow customizations, ACL, Assignment/Business Rules, Workflow, Flow Designer, Client Script, Transform Maps, Update Sets, and 3rd-party integrations.Experience integrating ServiceNow with other platforms using APIs (REST/SOAP) and tools like Snaplogic, Boomi, AWS Lambda, and Zapier.Experience with KeyedIn, Project Management systems, or other PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools is a plusSome expertise in Salesforce, Netsuite, and SAP is preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliverables, and provide technical review and guidance for other developers.ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is a plus.
