SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

The Sr. Director of Operations and Technical Program Management will drive the vision, strategy, and execution for the Core Platform Business Unit (CPBU) organization across our global sites. This role ensures organizational alignment, efficient execution, and operational excellence to support business priorities and growth. The position serves as a strategic partner to the CPBU Leadership Team, driving critical programs, business cadence  and organizational success.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

This position plays a critical role in enabling the CPBU Engineering organization to achieve its vision, align global teams, and drive business growth through operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and program leadership across the Core Platform Business Unit (CPBU) product portfolio. Evaluate, implement, and enhance project management best practices and governance operating model to strengthen program teams, tools, and communication channels
  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of operations and technical program managers, cultivating trusted partnerships across teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture, and developing deep domain expertise.
  • Ensures the team’s work aligns with the Business Unit’s priorities. 
  • Collaboratively shape and drive the evolution and delivery  of the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the CPBU organization, fostering strong partnerships and alignment across its development sites in Santa Clara (CA), Prague, and Bangalore.
  • Act as the organizational pulse-check, consistently gauging the health, morale, and engagement levels across teams.
  • Evaluate, design and implement improved processes, recommend tools, and implement workflows  to enhance productivity, operational consistency,  time-to-market and business growth.
  • Effectively engage with people at all levels, from front-line team members to VPs, SVPs, and C-level executives, communicating continuously with partners throughout the organization.
  • Operates as a trusted advisor to the CPBU GM and leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on operational priorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree:  MBA or equivalent in a technical/quantitative field (e.g., computer science, engineering, finance, economics).
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Product Management, Engineering, Operations or in a similar technical role with at least 5 years in a Sr. Leadership role.  
  • Core technical experience in enterprise engineering systems and delivering multiple large complex projects across distributed teams  
  • Successfully managed distributed teams and understands how to operate in an async environment.  
  • Experience in building, scaling and leading a large multi-site team of TPM’s and developing a high performance culture. 
  • Experience executing end-to-end (requirements to customers) complex strategic products and operational initiatives.   
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills, combined with business judgment and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to make high-judgement leadership decisions in a fast moving environment with a bias for action that delivers the required results.  
  • Demonstrated change agent with capabilities to identify and deliver on process changes that would enable faster time to market while driving organization consistency and efficiency.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

 

The annual base salary range is: $251,000– $376,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
