We are looking for an outstanding Lead Software Engineer with diverse skills and a strong interest in driving technical excellence with the team to join Recorded Future’s Threat Intelligence Team within the R&D organization. You will join a group of talented engineers in a dynamic environment where challenging requirements, sharing knowledge, and supporting our company vision are integral to success. We work with Security Intelligence Solutions, which our clients use to stay on top of threats to their business. Within our platform we serve many different types of data, our platform serves the purpose of cutting through the noise and surfacing relevant and actionable data to search and analyze the data, create alerts, prioritize, and process the intelligence. The Threat Intelligence Team is responsible for building and continuously improving our module’s web application constructed atop our immense dataset collected by other parts of the organization.
We work in cross-functional delivery teams with developers, product managers, designers, and QA professionals collaborating to create efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and useful products.
You would get the chance to develop great software in a fast-moving environment close to our global clients and their needs. Together, we’ll improve our product to meet increasing demands while focusing on scalability and quality. You will also experiment with new technology and explore what solutions are most suitable for solving real-world problems. You would join a dynamic team eager to take on new challenges and are passionate about what they do.
What you will be doing:
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation for threat prioritization
- Continuously design, develop, and deploy features with a focus on high availability, great quality, low latency, and scalability
- Work together with our product teams to understand and deliver expected results, which includes challenging requirements and technical suggestions through in-depth product understanding
- Select optimal methods and techniques for obtaining solutions alongside technical coordination of efforts within the Product Team
- Measure and evaluate features and system metrics to continuously improve data quality and service performance
- Support DevOps and MLOps activities
- Access to the energy, velocity, and freedom of an entrepreneurial culture
- Networks with key contacts outside the area of expertise
- Proactive, go beyond expectations, and independent
- Contribute broad expertise or unique knowledge to the development of company technical objectives and achieve goals creatively and effectively
What you will need:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in technical lead roles
- Experience with more than one general-purpose programming language Scala, Java
- Welcomed proficiency in React JS, Java Script, Type Script, HTML/CSS Styling
- Welcomed experience with data analytics and data processing
- Ability to learn other coding languages as needed
- Experience and comfort in API development
- Architect and develop solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
- Lead high-level discussions on technology strategy and approach
- Experience in technical leadership, leading project teams' development efforts, and setting technical direction
- Experience in working in agile teams, collaborating with other teams and subject areas to deliver software from MVP phase to full-scale
- You have a passion for coaching others to grow their technology career and sharing good practices with more junior engineers
- Demonstrated ability to influence an engineering organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to product, engineering, and business audiences
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/work experience
- Strong English skills are a must
