As Release Managers at Riot, we guide developers, smash through obstacles, and help push projects across the finish line, while making sure that our processes are reliable, repeatable, and globally focused.

As a Release Manager II on VALORANT, you'll be joining the team responsible for updating and deploying our game to our players, globally, across multiple platforms. You will improve our product delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset, leveraging both process changes and technology improvements. You understand what fuels games as a live service and have a passion for improving the developer and player experience. Your exceptional communication skills allow you to convey efficient and clear messages to any size group in any situation. You will report to the Manager of Release Management for VALORANT.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the release and deployment process, ensuring the best global player experience
  • Facilitate discussions between development and operations, making impactful decisions for our live service and our players
  • Collaborate with product teams to review release protocols and provide consultation to prevent and mitigate player pain
  • Contribute to the improvement of our continuous deployment process
  • You will spread the release culture and continuous improvement mindset through your interactions with developers across the studio
  • Track and analyze our Release KPIs for use by product teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in game development
  • Professional experience updating and deploying live, SAAS games
  • Professional experience in release management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing live deployment on multiple console and PC platforms
  • Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle and live service operations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
