As a Senior Manager, Game Production on the Teamfight Tactics, Gameplay team, you will lead delivery for TFT’s Sets, permanent in-game experiences & live balance. You will report to TFT’s Director of Delivery, and will partner with the Sr. Manager, Product Management to lead Gameplay development efforts. You will be the custodian of strong delivery processes for a team of teams, ensuring they follow world class development practices and collaborate smoothly with other teams. You will instill confidence in stakeholders and the core development team as you track progress, deliver content/features, and organize priorities and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Directly hire, manage, and grow team level producers’ craft and capabilities
- Create and drive multi-team work systems and support project wide efforts, including dependency management with multiple partner organizations across Riot involved in TFT development.
- Drive the creation of product and feature roadmaps in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, partner development organizations, and TFT leadership. Establish delivery schedules and roadmaps including release plans, milestone / phase definitions, and sprint goals.
- Create clarity and drive accuracy around the current and future status project work, reflecting reality to the team and stakeholders in an actionable way
- Drive strategic work alignment between discipline and project objectives
- Own Gameplay’s staffing strategy; communicating, negotiating & filling staffing needs
- Proactively identify issues standing in the way of success (people, product, process), provide strategies for tackling them, own their resolution and evaluate results
- Ensure psychological safety, healthy feedback culture, and conflict management within and between teams on your Initiative
- Iterate on the production processes to continuously improve our velocity, collaboration, and visibility
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in software/game development
- 4+ years in a leadership position, working directly on the production of a game
- 2+ years direct people management experience
- Experience leading teams through feature development (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
- Experience managing development at the team-of-teams scale with 50+ developers
- Experience managing multi-organization efforts requiring success through influence and craft
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing in-game experiences
- Experience managing & optimizing asset pipelines
- Experience working mobile and PC platforms
- Experience working with the Unreal engine
- Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics
