This PM will help build the ad system to power 3D immersive spaces. You will build the system that enables businesses, brands and developers to reach their audiences in new and immersive ways.

  • This person will report directly to the Senior Director PM for ads.
  • Success in this role will be determined by the candidate's ability to craft Roblox’s Ad strategy and influence executive decision making in service of building a billion dollar ads business.

You Will:

  • Drive the product strategy and vision for building an ads business on Roblox that is vision-aligned, respects the community, and drives significant value for advertisers and developers.
  • Influence executives to drive towards the vision for ads on Roblox. You will represent the ads organization and our initiatives in executive reviews and company-wide updates
  • Serve as the E2E owner of the product development life cycle from inception through planning to launch
  • Drive enrollment from engineers and inspire them to build high impact products that fit the needs of our target audience
  • Engage with engineering beyond just product and user experience needs; you will roll up your sleeves and brainstorm technical solutions to product problems
  • Write all technical specs and partner with design to create elegant, simple, and seamless tools for advertisers and publishers alike
  • Work with data science to analyze data, set up experiments, define success and guardrail metrics. Ultimately you will drive data informed high confidence decisions on behalf of the organization.
  • Hire and mentor new PMs on the team.

You Have:

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and self-drive!
  • The ability to solve strategic and complex problems using data, inference, and product sense
  • Experience driving difficult and somewhat contentious decisions through the leadership of your organizations
  • An insatiable curiosity and a desire to deeply understand and solve hard problems
  • A passion for advertising and commerce!

You Are:

  • Experienced with 7+ years of PM experience in ads, commerce, or consumer products with a degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Opinionated and willing to make calls with limited information. Comfortable advocating for resources and operating in a dynamic, fluid organization. Able to drive alignment across executives.
  • Technical, comfortable delving into product, platform and implementation details.
  • Proficient in identifying, tracking and acting upon metrics using A/B testing methods. Experience identifying indicators and working with engineering and analytics on instrumentation and monitoring
  • A close partner to engineering and design and proficient in building detailed technical specifications or wireframes
  • Comfortable driving critical business decisions in a fast paced, high pressure, and often ambiguous environment, and elevating critical decisions to senior leadership

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range
$269,640$318,090 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
