At Roblox, we believe that Safety and Civility are fundamental to fostering a vibrant, creative community. As a Software Engineer on our User Safety team, you will build modern, intuitive, and responsive user experiences to educate, drive behavioral reform, and ultimately reduce abuse on Roblox.
You Have:
- 1-3 years of experience developing a wide-array of software products
- An undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Typescript, React, Kotlin, Swift, or Lua.
You Will:
- Build modern and intuitive frontend UIs across web, mobile, consoles, and VR with a focus on behavioral reform, education, and transparency.
- Help influence the core foundations for frontend engineering.
- Ideate and work closely with product, design, and data science.
- Be part of a tightly-knit high-performing multi-function product team consisting of a mix of frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers, product managers, data scientists, and UX designers and researchers.
- Report to the engineering manager for User Safety.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
