The Orion team is composed of highly skilled engineers dedicated to developing Rubrik's data security products, primarily focusing on malware detection with the broader org looking into ransomware detection, sensitive data discovery, and user intelligence. Our malware detection is built on top of our state-of-the-art homegrown analyzer and we let our customers trigger hunts for malware inside their data - while also having an automated passive system for continuous monitoring. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and tools, we strive to deliver innovative solutions to secure the world’s data.

 

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team. We believe in giving engineers responsibility, not tasks. Our goal is to motivate and challenge people to do their best work, and to do that, we have a very fluid structure and give people the flexibility to work on high-impact projects. This develops more capable engineers and keeps everyone engaged and happy.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
  • Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack.
  • Bring innovation to the product.

Qualifications we’re looking for:

Rubrik Software Engineers are self-starters, driven, and can manage themselves. Bottom line, if you have a limitless drive and like to win, we want to talk to you.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages like Golang, Java, C/C++, Scala, Python.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure or others is a plus
  • Experience working with two or more of the following: Unix/Linux environments, Windows environments, distributed systems, networking, developing large software systems, file systems, storage systems, hypervisors, databases, security software development.

 

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US Pay Range
$148,000$222,000 USD
