The Technical Research Analyst at Rubrik, Inc. will be a key player in ensuring Rubrik’s sales teams continue to dominate the competition. Your primary responsibility is to weaponize key competitive intelligence, maintain internal collateral, and directly interact with internal sales teams, channel partners, and prospects. You will use competitive insights to develop and deliver compelling messaging, battle cards, presentations, and sales training.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales enablement team to create sales training, tools (cheat sheets, whitepapers, presentations, etc.), 
  • Work with field enablement and field success teams to establish take-out approaches as part of standard sales plays.
  • Create defensible analysis/proof points and positioning of Rubrik solutions favorably against the competition
  • Responsible for the data analysis and feedback processes to provide a quarterly view of the competitive landscape.
  • Provide day zero support to the field team for emerging product features and keeping the team abreast on equivalent features from competitive products
  • Produce deep dive documentation on product features and solutions with comparison to competitive products for the various field teams
  • Work with the product management and product marketing team to put together collaterals helpful for demand generation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Competitive Intelligence, Technical Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, or Sales Engineering experience)
  • Experience implementing and managing data management/protection solutions such as Cohesity DataProtect, Veeam Backup & Recovery, DellEMC IDPA / DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, and Commvault. 
  • Experience developing technical presentations, whitepapers, product guides, briefs etc.
  • Good understanding of cloud computing architectures, products, and landscape
  • Strong understanding of the real-world customer issues and the needs of data protection / data management
  • Ability to collaborate with various groups and drive projects forward
  • Strong aptitude for analyzing competitor's products, strategy, and messaging
  • Aptitude for translating technical features into business value as a means of differentiating Rubrik offerings
  • Executes with urgency (startup time)

Preferred experience:

SaaS Expertise: We’re seeking candidates with a strong background working with SaaS tools, along with a deep understanding of SaaS environments and their unique challenges.
Product Comparison and Analysis: Experience in backing up SaaS environments is a huge plus. In this role, you'll be responsible for comparing SaaS data protection products, enabling our sales teams and other stakeholders with strategic, actionable intelligence to outpace the competition.
