The County Federal Story... Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union - also known as "County Federal" - was founded on May 8, 1950 by 8 Santa Clara County employees with a vision and $107. They volunteered their time to foster a common dream that has continuously evolved to serve over 44,000 members for the last 60+ years.

County Federal was originally chartered in the State of California under the name Santa Clara County Employees Credit Union. County Federal serves Santa Clara County employees, but also San Benito County, many cities within Santa Clara County, Santa Clara County Office of Education, Valley Medical Center and many other agencies, companies and non-profit organizations affiliated with the County.
