As the Global Director of HR Compliance Programs, you will be a strategic partner to the Global HR organization, collaborating with Internal Audit, Legal, HR Business Partners, and Security teams. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and practices, while leading a team to support these efforts across the business.
You will leverage your deep expertise in HR policy development, HR SOX Controls, and Audits, providing both strategic and hands-on leadership. Your role requires strong knowledge of HR Compliance, policy governance, and risk and control frameworks, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
In addition to auditing current practices and recommending improvements, you will prepare compliance reports for executive management. With your familiarity in HR Risk and Compliance, you will also lead other strategic HR initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor the effectiveness of HR SOX Controls, ISO and other HR audit controls designed to meet regulatory obligations, owning remediation plans, as required.
- Lead internal HR SOX compliance audit reviews related to pay, employees, hiring, etc., and ensure data integrity in auditing SOX-related HR controls.
- Develop strategic and operational workforce programs within the HR function to ensure compliance with government agencies, such as Federal & State Affirmative Action Plans, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), I-9 compliance, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), census reporting, and government contract reporting, maintaining alignment with government laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
- Direct and manage all compliance-related reporting, including but not limited to AAP, EEO-1, I-9, and VETS 4212 reporting, in collaboration with external vendors, HR Business Partners, and the management team. Act as the liaison to government agencies and/or third-party service providers.
- Identify areas for process improvement and potential liability, communicating these issues to the HR Leadership Team and functional managers.
- Establish compliance standards, anticipate emerging compliance trends, and work to improve and tighten internal compliance controls.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to facilitate and ensure the effective content and delivery of training materials. Recommend revisions to training programs and materials, incorporating new techniques to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of global employee-related legislative and regulatory developments, ensuring changes to rules and regulations are integrated with HR systems, policies, and practices in partnership with the Legal and Tax Departments.
- Support Business Continuity and Cross-Functional Policy Reviews and Revisions to bolster various compliance-related programs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 10+ years of experience managing people team programs, with a focus on HR audit and compliance, HR policy, International HR, background check programs, or global mobility, preferably with some public company experience.
- Experience managing complex, global HR projects and operationalizing HR policies and strategies.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders.
- Aptitude for synthesizing information from external and internal experts and recommending the best course of action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and priorities; Able to navigate ambiguity and shift direction when priorities change.
- Continuous improvement mindset. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work output and decisions.
- Employment law background a plus, but not required.
