Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.

THE TEAM

Snowflake’s Data Cloud is a global platform where thousands of organizations store, process and share their data. The central part of the Data Cloud is the Marketplace which enables collaboration across geographies and cloud providers. We're now creating a new market segment - Data Apps which run natively in the Data Cloud and are distributed and monetized through the Marketplace.

The Native Apps Developer Experience team in Toronto builds the developer tools and interfaces to allow software developers, data scientists, and data engineers to build Snowflake Native Data Apps. We are responsible for the development lifecycle of building, testing, debugging, and deploying applications, as well as advocates for developer usability in the development of new features across the Native Applications ecosystem.

THE ROLE

As an engineering manager, you will lead a software development team in crafting a robust and scalable product. You will also lead throughout Snowflake, keeping the highest standards in hiring, product quality and operational excellence. You will be an advocate of Native Apps outside Snowflake, evangelizing the platform among developers.

On the Developer Experience team, you will use your technical skills both in local (code review) context as well as in larger contexts, ensuring consistent, efficient solutions. Your voice will be heard at design meetings and in code reviews. You will be an advocate for usability. You will facilitate deep technical discussions about testing and debugging support, security, application versioning, access control, UI frameworks and many other topics. It’s fine if you don’t have experience with data or app platforms as long as you have the talent and curiosity to learn.
