Snowflake is seeking an exceptionally motivated, talented, and experienced Accessibility Principal Product Manager with strong customer obsession and a track record of driving organization change. You will lead our company’s efforts in ensuring that our software products are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, best practices, and a proven track record of implementing accessible solutions in a software development environment. This role is crucial to our mission of creating inclusive products that provide an excellent user experience for everyone.

AS A PRINCIPLE PRODUCT MANAGER / HEAD OF ACCESSIBILITY AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive accessibility strategy across all product lines, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall mission and goals.
  • Build a comprehensive staffing plan to deliver accessibility goals
  • Advocate for accessibility initiatives at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, and ensure accessibility is considered in all stages of product development.
  • You will work and influence internal and external stakeholders, manage cross functional programs, and be able to help prioritize against ambitious goals and timelines
  • Draft and present accessibility proposals for new features to leadership
  • Work with engineering and design to explore accessible user interaction models
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate accessibility best practices into the design and development process.
  • Conduct accessibility audits, usability tests, and provide feedback to teams to improve product accessibility.
  • Ensure that all products comply with relevant accessibility standards and regulations (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility laws, guidelines, and trends, and ensure that the company is ahead of the curve in compliance.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the accessibility of products, and report on these metrics to leadership regularly.
  • Lead accessibility training initiatives for product teams, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the knowledge to create accessible products.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for users with disabilities, representing their needs in product planning and decision-making processes

OUR IDEAL PRINCIPLE PRODUCT MANAGER / HEAD OF ACCESSIBILITY WILL HAVE:

  • 7+ years of experience in accessibility, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing accessibility initiatives in a software product environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ARIA) and legal requirements (e.g., ADA, Section 508).
  • Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, voice recognition software).
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Customer-focused, resourceful, team-oriented, and have an ability to work independently under time constraints
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
