Snowflake’s Sales Planning and Compensation team is seeking a Sales Incentive Compensation Strategy Manager to join our growing team. In this high impact role, you will collaborate closely with representatives from sales, sales operations, finance and HR to support the development of compensation plans across all go-to-market roles. You will also be critical in helping us identify opportunities to improve our sales compensation systems and processes to support our next stage of growth.

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Sales Compensation Strategy, you will be supporting our global sales incentive compensation program from planning through execution. In this role you will leverage strong analytic skills to help us determine the feasibility of new incentive designs and effectiveness of existing incentives.  You will apply effective communication skills to help answer comp questions from the field and triage exception requests. You will also use your strong project management skills to support proposal development, implement automation initiatives, and support comp plan roll out, communications, and enablement. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Support the annual compensation planning design cycle from design-to-deployment for all departments within the go-to-market organization. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of Snowflake’s sales model, sales compensation plans, metrics, reporting tools, and data structures to ensure that our plans are aligned to Snowflake’s strategic objectives for sales. 
  • Develop presentation materials to communicate comp proposals to our comp steering committee and executives
  • Support communications and enablement efforts to inform the field of relevant comp and policy changes
  • Support data analysis and modeling efforts to measure the effectiveness of existing incentives and designs/test the feasibility of new designs
  • Identify opportunities for automation of existing processes and systems. Work with commissions team, sales operations, BI, and IT teams to bring these ideas to life. 

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

  • 5+ years of industry experience preferably within the enterprise software space
  • 2+ years of experience in sales compensation, go-to-market strategy, consulting, sales operations, or similar analytical roles
  • Ability to perform regular and ad-hoc analytical requests, summarize results in a concise and effective manner, and present to relevant business partners.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience supporting sales and sales leadership.
  • Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience using common BI tools for analysis and reporting, proficiency with SQL and relational data a plus
  • Experience with commissions software tools (Xactly, CaptivateIQ, SPIFF)
  • Familiarity with incentive plan structures; bookings and revenue-based incentive plans, quotas, accelerators, pay mix, leverage points, industry standard OTE a huge plus
  • Undergraduate degree in business, statistics, economics, or other quantitative disciplines
