Are you ready to be a key player in revolutionizing data security in the Cloud?
The Security Solutions, Platform, and Analytics (SPA) team at Snowflake is trailblazers, crafting custom solutions to fortify our Data Cloud. 

The team is responsible for providing engineering and infrastructure services, building solutions, as well as communities of practice and cyber coordination efforts that empower the Snowflake security community to bring the most secure Data Cloud to our customers and safeguard our organization's systems and data.

We're on the hunt for an accomplished DevSecOps Engineer proficient in Terraform, AWS (Public Cloud), Docker, Kubernetes, Python, SQL, and CI/CD to elevate our security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Expertise: Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using Terraform in an AWS public cloud environment. Ensure adherence to best practices for security and performance.
  • Container Mastery: Utilize Docker for efficient containerization and Kubernetes for seamless orchestration, ensuring streamlined deployment and management of applications. Optimize container and orchestration strategies for security and scalability.
  • Database Management: Oversee database administration tasks, including managing, configuring, and maintaining databases such as Amazon RDS and Snowflake. Implement backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Optimize database performance and ensure data security across environments.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Leadership: Architect, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines that facilitate efficient, secure, and automated software delivery. Integrate Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration to enhance deployment workflows and reduce time-to-market.
  • Scripting and Automation: Leverage advanced Python and shell/bash scripting skills to automate tasks, streamline deployment processes, and manage system configurations. Develop scripts to enhance infrastructure security, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • SQL Expertise: Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support application functionality and reporting needs. Use SQL knowledge to analyze, manipulate, and maintain data across different database platforms.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with security, development, and operations teams to design and implement scalable, automated solutions that enhance the efficiency and security of our systems and applications. Promote best practices and security standards across the organization.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay informed about the latest developments in security, DevOps, and emerging threats. Proactively propose and implement innovative strategies to strengthen the organization's security posture and enhance operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, SQL, and CI/CD tools. Proven ability to develop infrastructure as code using Terraform specifically for AWS environments.
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) systems, log management, and error tracking platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack. Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Experience with database management and ingestions on Snowflake or simmilar Data warehousing platforms is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of security principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Ability to apply these concepts to design secure, scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex security and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • A continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying current with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
