We are looking to hire a Senior Product Manager who will own the Analytics Platform which powers Snowflake Notebooks, Streamlit in Snowflake, Streamlit in Native Apps. Your goal would be to build an efficient, stable and performant platform which makes it dead simple for Snowflake customers to host their analytical workloads on Snowflake. 

We’re looking for candidates with strong technical and product management skills, as well as business and strategic acumen. At Snowflake we put our customers first and want to continue building products that our users love. 

AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Define and evolve the product vision and direction for new compute and runtime options for Snowflake’s Analytical product like Notebooks, Streamlit, Streamlit in a Native App to align with the scale and performance needs of our customers. Partner with architects and engineering to define this evolution
  • Define the experience of using the compute and runtime options in Analytical Products. Expose the right level of detail for different builder personas
  • Own cost, performance and scaling across several aspects of the Analytical products infrastructure, ensuring that Snowflake’s customers can build on top of the Snowflake platform.
  • Build technical and developer / data scientist facing features like Caching, Scheduling and Environment management 
  • Make decisions on platform modernization/investment strategies based on strong understanding of diverse application workloads running on top of Snowflake  
  • Define lifecycle management for analytical workloads like Notebooks, Streamlit and define how life cycles should evolve
  • Closely collaborate with a number of internal technology partner teams, like Cloud Engineering, Snowpark, Compute, AI/ML teams in order to utilize technologies inside Analytical Products.
  • Work in a cross functional and collaborative role spanning several teams such as product, design, data / product analysts, technical program managers, engineering, marketing / alliances, sales and support.
  • Manage programs and structure projects to ensure smooth execution of the product roadmap.
  • Manage customer preview programs and engage in frequent conversations with customers both on site and in customer offices to understand their needs, gather feedback, and overall ensure that product direction is in tune with customer needs.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:

  • Good understanding and experience working with core cloud services (examples: compute services, CRUD services, cloud networking - Nginx/Envoy/load balancer/private link, Storage - S3/EBS/Azure Blob Storage/GCS and various cloud APIs).
  • Experience with numerous deployment strategies and automation for cloud services.
  • You love to tackle platform problems with broad impact like optimizing cost, price-performance and scaling challenges across thousands of customers. 
  • Experience working with Enterprise customers
  • The ability to understand the breadth of our product line as well as the technical ability to drill into details on owned areas.
  • Proven expertise working with, presenting to and managing communications with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally across the company.
  • Ability to thrive in the dynamic environment that comes with being part of an innovative startup from its early days. That means flexibility as well as dealing with ambiguity.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or similar practical experience.

BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical fields. MBA is a major plus
  • Prior experience defining a product vision and roadmap for a platform team, and managing execution across launches.
  • Experience with managing cloud infrastructure powering managed services 
  • 6+ years experience working on cloud products
  • An understanding in the area of data management, Big Data analytics, data warehousing and/or cloud technologies is a major plus.
