POSITION Training and Organizational Development Manager

Position Summary:
The Training and Organizational Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and coaching. Training and Organizational Development Manager provides leadership by articulating learning needs and plans to the executive management team. In addition, this position leads the efforts to develop teams and to sustain a mission-driven culture that increases engagement and performance of all staff and mitigates risk to the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Head of Training and Organizational Development is responsible for building and leading the overall direction and day-to-day management of the team.
Travel:
Frequent travel is not typical for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management or executive development programs, technical training, sales training, safety training, or train-the-trainer programs.
- Develops and implements processes and programs designed to maximize employee productivity, performance, and engagement or close skill or knowledge gaps.
- Analyzes results of assessments, focus groups, or employee interviews and develops and delivers interventions or training programs designed to address areas to be improved.
- Drive change cross-functionally, and partner with leaders to build and enhance skills across the organization at all levels.
- Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution to scale the organization.
- Develop solutions through organizational development (roles and responsibility clarification, competency development, etc.)
- Provide counsel in the following areas: career planning, performance management, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.
- Partner with the management team to craft organizational employee development and trainings, and serve as a resource for leaders in handling employee issues, conducting evaluations, staff training, problem-solving and consensus-building.
- Regularly review HR metrics to identify trends and forecasts needs/gaps based upon upcoming business initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of six years related experience; bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred

Compensation Details: Starting at $120k annually, plus Benefits
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Work Environment:
This position operates in a typical office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop computer, and smartphone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
