The Area Manager Germany is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a fulfilment and 3PL warehouse. This role will be managing Spreetail’s regular Retail business fulfillment and Platform Services business under fulfillment and 3PL logistics services. This includes managing inventory, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments of multi-customers/brands in single warehouse or multiple warehouses in Germany, supervising warehouse team leads/staff, and ensuring operational efficiency, while Retail business and Platform Service customer’s (brand’s) SLA’s are met %100. The role requires collaboration with logistics, transportation, and client service teams to meet customer requirements and maximize productivity while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

As the Area Manager you will:

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage daily fulfillment and 3PL logistics operations of various customers/brands including Inbound Receive, Storage, Picking, Packing, Returns, Special Projects/VAS services and OB Shipping (parcel and LTL/Pallets).  Incl of Efficient and right planning of labor, staffing, equipment, storage space utilization and other resources related to each customer business; use and share of all resources within customer businesses effectively to create synergies and cost reduction; weekly-daily-hourly planning of labor capacities for each platform service business properly with ultimate goal of %100 OTS each day.    
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse workers, ensuring that all staff are well-trained, motivated, and working safely. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and necessary training. Support HR Business Partner for hire, payroll, administration related activities in the location.   As well as Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring that staff follows established safety protocols. Stay compliant with all legal and company regulations related to warehousing, labor laws, and health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure accurate stock management. Implement inventory control systems, conduct regular cycle counts, and maintain optimal stock levels to minimize overstock or stockouts.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the operational point of contact for clients (including site visits - either existing or potential customers), addressing any issues, concerns, or requests, when requested by Account Manager. Ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Ability to understand customer SLA’s, service agreements and KPI’s, including implementation of operational processes to match each customer SLA and KPI. Identify the gaps and mismatches in SLA’s, KPI’s and escalate to Account Manager where necessary. Run customer audits and health checks by providing timely operational data and reporting to Account Manager for invoicing and reporting purposes. 
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with transportation teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any transportation-related issues, and Local Supplier/Institutions/Service Provider Management:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., IFS, ISO, APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management – fulfillment center, preferably spent in a 3PL multi-user warehousing and/or multi-user fulfillment center environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational efficiencies in a high pace environment. Multi-shift operations experience would be an asset.  
  • Solid experience in using labor tracking, daily order/picking tracking dashboards via WMS/ERP software.
  • Ability to manage both B2C and B2B daily orders in a multi-user warehouse and additionally in multi-warehouse operations setup in Germany or EU.   
  • (English & German Language skills Essential) & Turkish Desirable
