What we’re looking for

GetFeedback by SurveyMonkey is a leading customer feedback and experience management platform capable of serving millions of surveys annually, over the web, on a global scale.

As a core element integrated into the websites and mobile applications of our enterprise clients, GetFeedback maintains an exceptionally high standard for its uptime and availability. Our organization is looking for a senior full-stack software engineer with a passion for solving complex technical challenges, while employing a diverse array of technologies, on a high volume application. Your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of GetFeedback, while ensuring a high standard for both its quality and availability.

What you’ll be working on

Evolving and maintaining the application, using various languages, like PHP, Java, TypeScript and technologies like Kafka, AWS and Kubernetes.

  • Offering strong technical leadership to help the team traverse its challenges.
  • Educating and influencing management on technical decisions affecting the application.
  • Collaborating closely with Customer Success and Customer Operations to resolve any outstanding issues. 
  • Hold responsibility for ensuring the application meets the required service level agreements.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 5+ years of experience in developing web applications at scale.
  • Hands-on knowledge in at least one of our ecosystem tools (e.g. JavaScript, React, PHP, Java, Go).
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a complex system.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with both co-located and remote engineers across time zones and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies, especially within the AWS ecosystem is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other technologies such as Elasticsearch, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Go, MongoDB, Webpack, Storybook, CSS-in-JS is a plus.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
