Communication Designer - México City

About the Project
Dalberg Design, in partnership with the Houston Endowment, is spearheading a human-centered design initiative to increase naturalization rates among eligible-to-naturalize (ETN) individuals in the Houston metro area. As the project transitions to its pilot phase, it focuses on three core components:
- Community Pilots: Implementing group and individual support programs for naturalization.
- Capacity-Building Pilots: Developing training programs and curricula for community initiatives.
- Communication Pilots: Creating motivational and informational content to raise awareness about naturalization and support community pilots.
The Communication Designer will play a pivotal role in crafting and refining communication assets for these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Design and Develop Communication Assets:
- Use insights from research and prototype testing to create impactful, audience-specific designs.
- Develop a unified project identity and branding adaptable for digital and print applications.
- Create a comprehensive citizenship toolkit with printed tools, including a "citizenship journey" guide and a "citizenship benefits" tool.
- Design promotional materials for community pilots and the ETN-targeted campaign.
- Collaborate with the Dalberg Design team to produce high-quality content, such as the "Citizenship Stories" campaign.
- Adapt existing materials to suit the diverse ETN communities engaged in the pilots.

Project and Task Management:
- Manage multiple design tasks with tight deadlines across different initiatives.
- Ensure high-quality control for all design deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication and organization within a remote team structure.
- Respond constructively to feedback and iterate designs accordingly.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in graphic and communication design for print and digital platforms.
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with Google Suite tools like Google Slides and Docs.
- Strong understanding of design specifications for websites, social media, and print materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with human-centered design principles.
Compensation & Terms
- $2,000 - $4,000 MXN per day, based on experience.
- 24–40 hours per week (3–5 days).
Duration: February 2025 – April 2025, with the possibility of extension.
