Textile Print Designer:
Reformation is looking for a Textile Print Designer to produce gorgeous designs for our apparel collections. This individual should have background (training or work experience) with fashion print design. This individual will also be highly creative and have great taste.
As a Textile Print Designer, you will support Design leadership by creating original artwork, identifying prints and colors that help enhance the overall design vision and brand story. The ideal candidate is an artist that has the ability to create exclusive prints and original saleable concepts that encompass style, color, and fabric with the appropriate hand for market relevance and to be compelling to the Ref customer.
What You'll Do:
- Meets and exceeds department level financial top-line goals and owns performance cross-functionally, taking ownership over the wins and challenges
- Consistently shop and research marketplace, including our competitors for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash, color
- Active trend forecasting including trend decks and advocating for print & color trends
- Frequently proposes new business ideas and print/color
- Stays on top of the trends, develops new opportunities in categories and print/color and ensures to always be pushing the brand forward in the competitive landscape.
- Partner with Design Leadership to develop the vision and direction of color & print for not only the brand seasonally, but also certain collections
- Ownership of communication with Raw Materials team and drives process innovation, quality control, contribution to new vendor onboarding
- Proactive with team calendars and resources to ensure on-time deliverables; works cross-functionally to ensure all departments on track.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
- Solid color sourcing
- New and chase print creation
- Creation of print artwork packages to send to vendor
- Lab dip & strike off approvals across fabrications & yarns
- Color & print matching across fabrications
- Good understanding of print application and execution
- Understand Print and Color direction as it applies to all key categories
- Ownership of organization of lab dips and color library
What You'll Need:
- 3-5 years experience in textile design
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshoot
- Strong organizational skills
- Elevated taste level for color and print
- Strong understanding of color
- Strong work ethic- thrives in a fast-paced environment
