About the job
This position is needed to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives. This role will be responsible for planning, execution, and evaluation of DEI initiatives to create an environment of inclusion at Twilio.
The DEI Program Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners to implement impactful programs and initiatives that drive environmental change and foster inclusion. The ideal candidate is an utility player with extensive experience in program management, deep knowledge of DEI best practices, and a proven track record in driving organizational change.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Program Management:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and management of DEI programs and initiatives across Twilio.
- Establish project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of program objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure end to end alignment and engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with senior leadership, XFN partners, and employee resource groups to foster buy-in, support, and commitment to DEI initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing guidance and recommendations on DEI-related matters to stakeholders at all levels.
- Build strong relationships with external partners, community organizations, and industry leaders to enhance the organization's DEI efforts.
Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver DEI training programs and educational initiatives to increase awareness, knowledge, and skills related to diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to incorporate DEI principles into talent development and leadership programs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze DEI data, including diversity metrics, employee feedback, and program evaluation results.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on DEI progress, trends, and outcomes for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Use data insights to drive data-driven decision-making and identify areas for improvement and innovation.

Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in DEI, program management, or related roles.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge and expertise in DEI principles, best practices, and legal requirements.
- Proven track record in leading and managing complex DEI programs and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to drive change and build consensus across diverse teams.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team. Will take the initiative to drive projects forward even under ambiguous circumstances.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field , Advanced degree preferred
- Familiarity with large scale global solutions
- Collaborative mindset, with experience working effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Location
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 15% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado or Washington D.C.: $112,320.00- $140,400
- Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $118,960.00-$148,700.00
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $132,160.00-$165,200.00
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
