Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time or part-time Bather to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care.

Salary: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: Enjoy a 4-day work week! Part-time or Full-time hours available from 20-39 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 8 am - 5 pm. End time may vary depending on the number of clients, with some days wrapping up earlier.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Bathe dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring proper handling and care
• Brush and de-shed coats to maintain healthy skin and fur
• Trim nails, clean ears, and perform basic hygiene tasks
• Assist in identifying skin conditions or health concerns and report them to the appropriate team member
• Handle dogs safely and compassionately to minimize stress during bathing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bathing area and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog's bathing needs
• Assist the grooming team as needed to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications:

• Experience is preferred, we’re happy to train the right candidate who is passionate about working with animals and eager to learn.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor
