This position is Tel-Aviv-based or fully remote within European Time Zone +/-2h.

Team

Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing, and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.

Joining our Live games team means collaborating with gaming industry experts on globally renowned, enduring games while embracing exciting new entrepreneurial ventures. With over seven billion downloads worldwide and a portfolio of more than 10 resilient hybrid games generating more than $20m per year, we are the world's largest and most successful hybrid publisher.

Voodoo is creating a small experimentation team with a big mission: find the next best way to entertain the world by taking our best hits to a new level. You will be one of the first members of a team of six and you will participate in every aspect of development, from ideation to testing the casual games in the market.

The Studio will be working on Coffee Pack, one of our most promising games. 

Role

We are looking for a talented Level Design Lead with a good understanding of the casual mobile game market to help the team to deliver fun, innovative and entertaining games. You will take an innovative approach to gameplay ideas and features, giving them their own spin. You will:

  • Add new levels to the game using our custom level editor.
  • Design fun and challenging levels that fit in with the existing levels of the game.
  • Set the order of levels to create an ideal progression for the player.
  • Balance the game difficulty to ensure an enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.
  • Develop new level mechanics that enhance gameplay and keep it fresh.
  • Organize internal playtests to gather feedback and make adjustments based on player experience.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to understand level performance through analytics and adjust levels accordingly.
  • Take full ownership of the level creation process, from concept to final implementation.
  • Profile

  • 3+ years of experience with level design in casual puzzle or match-3 games
  • Experience as a Lead Level designer is desired but not essential
  • Communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Great feel for level design and an understanding of what makes a level fun
  • Have worked on a top casual mobile puzzle game.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset
