Voodoo is creating a new studio with a very exciting and ambitious mission: release the next $1B Match 3 game, pioneering the next generation in this category. We aim to elevate quality and innovation in casual, redefine industry standards, and deliver fun to a broad audience. You will be joining this studio as Senior Level Designer.

Role

We're looking for a talented Senior Level Designer to create the next generation Match 3 game. You will work with our custom-level editor to create fun and engaging levels. You’ll be:

  • Contribute to the design of highly innovative gameplay concepts that we will prototype to find the next generation Match 3 game 
  • Collaborating with our creative team to design and test innovative game mechanics and levels that align with our innovation strategy
  • Using our proprietary game development tools to bring your designs to life, creating immersive environments, interactive elements, and challenging obstacles
  • Design, implement  and adapt new core game mechanics into your level designs to create a seamless, engaging gameplay experience
  • Working closely with our team of artists, animators, and programmers to ensure your level designs are fully realized
  • Testing and balancing your levels, taking into account player feedback and data to ensure they are fun, fair, and in line with our high-quality standards
  • Documenting your level designs using diagrams, flowcharts, and spreadsheets to communicate your concepts effectively within the team
  • Ensuring your designs adhere to technical constraints and opportunities presented by our game engine.
  • Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Level Design for a puzzle casual game
  • Understanding of models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior
  • Proven experience in level design, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create engaging, fun levels for games
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, particularly within the puzzle genre
  • Proficiency in level design software and scripting languages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to design challenges
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively within a team and explain your ideas clearly.

  • Experience in Match 3 puzzle hit game
  • A degree in game design, computer science, or a related field would be beneficial.
