The salary range (or base pay) for this position is $171,120 - $187,680 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
Associate Director
Wayfair is looking for an inspirational leader with a strong background in leading large operations teams, change management, process and project management, continuous improvement, people development, analytical problem solving skills, and a track record of building and nurturing high performing teams. This creative, self-starting candidate should have top-notch organizational skills, communication, and partnership skills.
What You'll Do
- Relentlessly focus to drive Wayfair’s operations strategy of cost-efficient, perfect orders, at scale in our Large Parcel last mile operations that align with business objectives and growth projections
- Oversee a NA region for last mile network of 10-12 HDOs/Terminal buildings
- Build and lead a team of Associates and operations managers, that drives relentless customer focus and operational rigor
- Work in a fast paced environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities
- Build out key metrics that define success for the team and enable day-to-day management and capacity planning
- Define and communicate a 6-12 month work plan, identifying opportunities to drive measure impact across broader KPIs and OKRs
- Identify opportunities through a combination of data driven analysis and observations
- Contribute to the development of tools and processes that drive efficiencies for the team and simplify the day-to-day operations
- Build strong partnerships and collaboration with leaders and stakeholders to enable consistency in programs with peers
- Understand strategic business goals and deliver strategies and solutions for achieving those goals and navigating roadblocks
- Oversee impact measurement, reporting and trend analysis and consult with stakeholders based on results
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a fast paced e-comm/consumer-focused organization
- 7+ years of Ops leadership experience leading large teams, driving continuous improvement and change management
- Experience interfacing with Sr. Leadership; developing relationships, objectively challenging, presenting, reporting, and consulting
- Ability to collaboratively partner across all levels and functions throughout the organization to assess talent development needs, build long-term strategies, and recommend viable design solutions
- Proven experience developing global data-driven processes
- Articulate, persuasive communicator across multiple organizational levels
- Ability to evaluate data to illustrate meaningful performance trends and identify opportunity areas
- Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills and flexibility to adjust to frequent changes in training priorities and schedules to accommodate business needs
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast moving environment with certain level of ambiguity
