From China to the EU and UK we are driving improvements in Logistics. 

CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a fast-growing digital freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers globally to Wayfair’s shelves and beyond. We offer a full suite of shipping services, providing Wayfair suppliers with competitive and efficient logistics solutions.

We are building a new UK based team to oversee EU freight forwarding business, and as a Key Account Manager you’ll be a fundamental part of our Sales strategy to drive our ambitious growth targets. 

What you’ll do: 

Key Account Engagement:

    • Cultivate relationships with suppliers acting as a strategic advisor for growth.
    • Identify needs and implement improvements to grow your accounts.
    • Act as a trusted partner to your suppliers.

Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with the wider team to fine-tune strategic plans.
    • Align our sales strategy with overall business volume objectives.

Product and Industry Knowledge:

    • Stay up to date with in-depth industry knowledge to secure the best rates.
    • Understand customer service needs.

Data Analysis:

    • Monitor data diligently to drive through improvements and positive change.
    • Use key metrics to continually develop enhanced strategies.

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Proven success operating as within a Business Account Management/ Client Account Growth role ideally in the logistics/transportation industry with a strong operational background 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economy, management, supply chain management or business administration or qualified by experience. 
  • The ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with suppliers (C-level) and internal stakeholders. 
  • Experience in building customer relationships and addressing negative feedback head-on, and resolving issues quickly.
  • Collaborative self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, and respond positively to changes.
  • A data driven and analytical mindset, someone who shows a strength in handling and manipulating big data sets, identifying insights and converting into business decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
