The Opportunity
As we scale into a multi-product company that is tackling broader initiatives and a wider market, we’re growing out the product marketing team to reach these audiences in the right way, with the right messages, and to drive our business. We are building the next best product marketing organization - and are looking for solid, driven, fun product marketers that will help our team uplevel our impact across Zuora and dominate our position as a top Financial Operations technology provider.
This role requires a proven foundation in product marketing fundamentals and impact, domain expertise in Financial Operations (payments, accounting, revenue recognition, and the likes), the ability to provide a strategic, market-resonating point of view, working across teams and leading cross-functional projects to evangelize your POV, and an understanding of buyer journey intricacies and upsell/cross-sell paths. A hunger for execution and growth is an added bonus.
Responsibilities
- Set Zuora up as the leader in the market – understand market trends, validate with market research, and distill it into actionable insights for marketing, sales, and product plans
- Quickly become an expert on our suite of Financial Operations products – ability to highlight pains, solution, buyer ecosystem, and translate to meaningful value in deliverables
Tell an impactful story – tell wildly persuasive stories that will sell sales to sell more, move an audience in targeted campaigns and events, and convince a prospect they need to become a customer and repeat customer
- Play a critical role in influencing product direction – know the market and buyers so well that you can partner with Product (and be seen as an expert) to ensure product innovations are aligned to where the market is headed
- Create go-to-market strategy and drive high-impact deliverables – partner with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable, strategic content and programs that drive pipeline, cross-sell/up-sell, and deal acceleration
- Execute on cross-organizational product launches – ensure the latest innovations are communicated to the right audiences, how and where they matter most, and motivate and bring along the right teams to get there with you
- Create mid-bottom funnel product collateral that resonates with our prospects – deliver high-quality whitepapers, datasheets, presentations, demos, playbooks, and more for both Growth Marketing and Sales efforts
- Measure and make strategic recommendations – understand how your work influences the organization and continuously iterate to uplevel the Product Marketing team
Skills/Experience Required:
- 5-8+ years’ experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or adjacent roles
- Domain expertise in financial operations technology - understands the space, competitors, where we play and can simplify it for internal and external audiences
- Has sold into or can quickly get into the minds of Finance, executive-level personas, and/or senior-level IT personas
- Has created raving fans from internal stakeholders - product, marketing, sales teams
- Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation skills
- Strong project management, problem solving, writing, and communication skills
- Understands B2B software buying processes and where PMM adds value
- Strategic and tactical team player
- Can work autonomously and on a team and wants to learn, grow, and takes ownership
- Contributes to a positive team spirit
- Pragmatic Marketing Institute or Product Marketing Alliance certification a plus

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate’s final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
