As the Temporary Head of Global Community Experience Optimization at Wayfair, you will lead an initiative to create global standards and structure to our corporate site operations. The Community Experience team responsible for fostering and nurturing a vibrant and engaged employee community across our global non-supply chain locations. You will shape the strategy and approach to community engagement initiatives including events, facilities management and our employee recognition program to support employee experience, collaboration and understanding and advocacy of the business. At the end of your ~1 year assignment, you will produce a “how to run a corporate office” handbook and train each global location to drive adoption of new SOPs. 

 

What you’ll do

  • Current state assessment and capture of value-add localized nuances at all global corporate sites
  • Creation of “how to run a corporate site” handbook including facilities, engagement and employee recognition, and budget and vendor management spanning those areas
  • Travel to each of our global corporate locations two times, first to do current state assessment, then later in the year to launch and train sites on the new handbook
  • Manage the day to day operations of the existing global team, with two Managers reporting to you and an overall team of ~15

 

Who you are

  • 10+ years of professional experience in program, project or category management; events planning; facilities management or related fields
  • Strong project and people management skills; Experience managing global teams
  • Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and strategic abilities coupled with strong operational experience and attention to detail
  • Success working with and influencing c-level executives
