Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We’re searching for a Product Manager to join the Aurora Services Platform team. Societally transformative products often require supporting infrastructure to unlock their full potential. This team is responsible for all aspects of commercializing our Aurora Driver into public roads and carrier operations. It will do this by communicating key information to their existing fleet and transportation management systems and by providing a set of tools to support scheduling, dispatch, routing, monitoring, and control at both the fleet and vehicle level. Our tooling allows trained specialists to monitor our vehicles and provide high-level guidance when needed in order to maximize the availability of our services.

In this role, you will

  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of integrating self-driving technology into a trucking fleet’s existing operations.
  • Define product vision and roadmap, prioritizing features that deliver the most value to customers and align with business goals.
  • Synthesize product usage data and user feedback into actionable user stories and product requirements for iterative improvement 
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, operations, and business development to translate product requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
  • Manage a range of cross-functional stakeholders while navigating key prioritization and timeline tradeoffs
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in self-driving technology, fleet management technology, and the logistics industry.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in software product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing commercially successful software products.
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks
  • High level of comfort working in ambiguity. Must be able to define the unknown, create structure and manage change.
  • Solid leadership experience with cross-functional teams in service of a large workstream.
  • Experience collaborating with Design & Engineering to bring product requirements and user experiences to life, while maximizing ROI
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in written and verbal communication
  • Passion for self-driving technology and its potential to revolutionize the transportation industry.

Desirable Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or other technical education) or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years in the logistics and/or supply chain industries
  • Experience shipping products to enterprise-sized customers 
  • Experience with self-driving technology or other AI-based applications

The base salary range for this position is $163-261K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
