WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Developer Experience & Productivity product team’s vision is to deliver a development experience that The Trade Desk engineers love. We’re a force multiplier for developer productivity. We design and deliver the tools and processes engineers need to maximize their effectiveness and build products quickly, confidently and with high quality. In close collaboration with our world class engineering team and through a deep understanding of the software development life cycle we systematically identify opportunities to improve how engineers build, test, and release high quality features to TTD's customers. You will have the opportunity to manage the product teams that are responsible for how we ship our software to production. This role will incorporate stakeholder needs across the engineering organization to drive positive improvements to our overall developer productivity. Your team will own their charter, end-to-end, and work on long-term roadmaps while enhancing existing features or tools and continuously improving efficiency

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will be responsible for leading the Developer Experience & Productivity PM team. You will work closely with stakeholders across our product and engineering teams to understand their requirements, and the technical governance standards we must meet; you will be familiar with industry trends and best practices; you will use your knowledge and experience to take all of that information and use it, in collaboration with your PM team and the engineering teams, to refine our Developer Productivity strategy and the roadmap to get there; you will be responsible for ensuring that the PM team is setup to successfully drive execution against that roadmap; you will provide leadership of deeply technical projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.
· You will own the execution of ambiguous, complex, long-term projects with unknown requirements.
· You will define and lead execution for deliverables with meaningful impact to operational efficiency of the platform and business. You will be trusted to make major changes to plans when needed to maximize impact.
· You will regularly and effectively collaborate with area leaders and stakeholders across the business and client teams.
· You will work anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively discover, advocate for, and resolve high priority issues and challenges. You will collaborate with your stakeholder to define success metrics and validation.
· You will build processes and tools for assessing employee morale and leverage the insights for environment-improving initiatives across multiple teams.
· You will leverage data to analyze hiring effectiveness and advocate for meaningful improvements. You will execute on a hiring strategy that aligns for your area.
· You will identify, motivate, coach, and develop other team leaders and managers. You will build leaders that are responsible for building and developing their team members' and overall team capabilities.
· You will develop and refine processes to analyze your team's specific performance metrics and act upon insights from this analysis to anticipate impediments to long-term team efficiency, and successfully guides the team toward sustained, measurable increases in efficiency over time.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
· A track record for leading a developer productivity team while building efficient tooling and processes.
· 12+ years of experience as a Technical or Platform Product Manager working in a technology-heavy role, including defining the strategy and roadmap for the platforms you built.
· A proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex, technical problems and delivering large and impactful software projects.
· Excellent communication skills including the confidence to participate in very technical conversations, the ability to drive consensus and commitment, and the ability to crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs and risks to senior management.
· Durability and grit -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations and staging while dependencies solidify.
· A deep understanding of modern infrastructure environments – both on prem and in cloud, DevOps, and an ability and desire to keep on top of industry trends.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
