WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

The Trade Desk is dedicated to supporting and growing the Open Internet. As a leader in our Inventory product team, you will have a key role in pursuing this mission. 

You will lead a cross-functional product team and collaborate with stakeholders across the company. As part of our Inventory product team, you will shape product strategy and be accountable for the end-to-end process of designing, building, and scaling the product in the market. 

In this role, you will develop strong relationships with our agency, brand, and publisher partners to ensure the success of your product. We prioritize relationship-building and trust within our team. Your technical and business skills should enhance your communication abilities and passion for contributing to a highly effective team. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: 

  • A track record for leading a product team to achieve complex business goals involving analytics and advertising technology 
  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical or Platform Product Manager working in a technology-heavy role in advertising technology, including defining the strategy and roadmap for the platforms you built 
  • Demonstrated experience building, designing, and scaling products with intuitive and powerful user experiences 
  • A deep understanding of RTB advertising protocols and standards, such as OpenRTB, Prebid.org, VAST, and others 
  • A nuanced technical and business understanding of how advertising supply chains work in CTV, Audio, In-App, Display, and DOOH m media ecosystems 
  • A strong understanding of how ad servers are configured and how various supply-side yield optimization strategies work. 
  • Experience with driving an agenda with industry standards organizations such as the IAB Tech Lab and Prebid.org.   
  • Analytical mindset and skills to dive into the data using SQL-based tools to find insights, either on your own or in partnership with data science and analytics teams 
  • A passion for protecting and growing the open Internet ecosystem 
  • A proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and delivering large and impactful software projects 
  • Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to participate in technical conversations, the ability to drive consensus and commitment, and the ability to crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs, and risks to senior management. 
  • Public speaking experience at industry events 
  • Durability and grit -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations, and staging while dependencies solidify. 

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$324,500$405,600 USD
