Who we are looking for:

As the VP, Global Retail Data Partnerships you will be part of a highly impactful team dedicated to driving strategic value for our clients and for the partners with whom you work. Working cross-functionally with TTD’s go-to-market and product leadership, you will be responsible for establishing the strategy and business plan for retail data partnerships, one of TTD’s most strategic initiatives. This will include initiating relationships with potential partners, assessing business opportunities, and driving the agreements, integrations, and executions necessary to maximize the overall opportunity. You will help shape our product roadmap, and partner with retailers to unlock the value of their most precious asset – their customer data – globally Responsibilities include ownership of TTD’s retail data strategy and adoption as well as executive leadership of TTD’s strategic retail partnerships. You will manage a high-performing team, who handle the day-to-day BD and partner management responsibilities.    

The ideal candidate has experience creating and scaling technical solutions, having worked closely with retailers or at a retailer. We are looking for someone who thrives on having a significant impact and building new capabilities through partnerships and innovation. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage executive relationships at strategic retail data partners. 
  • Partner with Product and Commercial teams to develop a global retail data strategy and roadmap. 
  • Lead a high-performing team focused on retail data solutions and partnerships. 
  • Act as executive sponsor of strategic partnerships. 
  • Evangelize the TTD retail story in market with adtech partners, brand and agency executives. 
  • Drive adoption of retail solutions in partnerships with commercial leadership. 
  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with management to report on status and future opportunities. 
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements, etc.). 
  • Champion the partnership experience while balancing with advertiser needs. 

Key KPIs would be: 

  • Driving retail data adoption metrics across platform offerings such as audience and measurement  
  • New and expanded retail partnerships globally 
  • Manage and develop a high performing team  

Skills Summary: 

  • 15+ years of experience creating and building differentiated relationships with retailers. 
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams 
  • Experience defining strategy and scaling new businesses. 
  • Digital media and retail expertise required 
  • Experience with contracts and vendor negotiations. 
  • Proven communication, questioning and listening skills in formal and informal settings. 
  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities 
  • Ability to build excellent rapport with internal (Legal, Technical, Finance, Product, GTM) and external stakeholders; strong teamwork is a must. 
  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking techniques. 

 

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$189,800$347,900 USD
