Role Summary
We are seeking a Software Architect to design and oversee the implementation of scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software systems within our Platform team. This role will be responsible for defining architectural best practices, ensuring system reliability, and driving innovation in software development. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development practices.
Main Duties
Architect and Design Systems – Define, design, and document scalable and maintainable software architectures that align with business needs. Scalability & Performance – Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance of platform services. Cloud & Infrastructure – Lead cloud-native architecture design and best practices across AWS, GCP, or Azure environments. CI/CD & DevOps – Establish and enforce best practices for continuous integration, testing, and automated deployments. Security & Reliability – Integrate security, observability, and reliability into all software architectures. Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with engineers, DevOps, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Technical Leadership – Provide guidance on architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and promote coding best practices. Code Reviews & Standards – Maintain high code quality through rigorous code reviews and architectural governance. Technology Evaluation – Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption within the platform ecosystem. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with a strong focus on backend systems.Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL, caching strategies, data modeling). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker). Deep knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).Familiarity with message queues and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
